What Is Sexual Assault?

According to the United States Department of Justice, sexual assault is any type of sexual contact or behavior that occurs without the explicit consent of the recipient. Includes but is not limited to forced sexual intercourse, attempted rape, incest, and molestation.

However, sexual harassment is any unwelcome sexual behavior which offends, humiliates, or intimidates you. This includes but is not limited to unwanted sexual advances, suggestive comments or jokes requesting sexual favors, and sexual behavior aimed at you or your presence.
